Hope you had a great time at Mt. Tremblant and had a good trip back home.

I am sending this private email to you (and all others who went to the 2011 World Deaf Cycling Championships) to ask you to send your original 2011 WDCC photos to dVELO.com.
Let me explain why I am doing this. I was a WDCC athlete and Deaflympian. I saw people taking pictures of me and other Deaflympians during bike races. Unfortunately, I often could not reach these individuals after the race for copies of the pictures. It has been disappointing not to be able to share them with my children. Moreover, a French friend who was also a cyclist asked me a few months ago if I had some photos of him during the 1985 Deaflympics in Los Angeles. The only few I had but none of them of him competing. I felt bad for him and I could imagine some other athletes felt the same.
Their frustrating experiences have prompted me to start creating a pool of photos to allow all participants to chip their original photos in and download pictures taken by others. Over 2000 photos and over 100 videos are now available for everyone.
I want to thank to 6 individuals – Eric McDuffie (USA), Bobby Skedmso (USA), Jean-Pierre Fauconnier (BEL), Delphine Michiels (BEL), Luis Carols Sanchez (COL) and Ota Pansky (CZE) – for contributing their photos and videos to us.
The link to photos and videos is http://www.flickr.com/photos/dvelo/collections/.
I hope you will join us and contribute your photos to us. With your help, they will be able to share their experiences with their families and friends.
